CERPEN TUGAS BAHASA INGGRIS KE-2       :

WAYNE ROONEY MY DECADE IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE

CHAPTER FAMILY

Sometimes the biggest changes at a football club can take place in the summer, when there’s actually no footy going on. Players come and go, managers come and go. Teams get leave Old Trafford for my hols and when i get back everything’s changed.

It’s never drastic though. Whenever somebody leaves united, the rhytm of football stays the same. Teh lads just get oneith the playing side, the manager concentrates on picking the team. It’s buisness as ussual. Were used to squad being chopped about and new faces showing up. I’ve learned not to be supprised if anyone leaves. Well, anyone apart form the manager. I can’t imagine him being anywhere but United. I was born in 1985 and he took over the dugout a year later. I haven’t known by Manchester United without him.

Some changes, when they happen, are stranger than others, thought. Like Paul Scholes and Gary Nevil retiring Gary in February 2011, Scholesy after the 2010/2011 season. Those two have been at the club for as long as i can remember. When i was a kid, i cheered for them both as they turned out for England in the 1998 World Cup and i used to dream of battleing againts them in Everton shirt, i can even remember them playing for united againts Everton in the 1995 FA Cup final at  Wembley.

I knew those two couldn’t go on forever, especially Gary. There were games in 2010/2011 where he didn’t play that well by his high standards. He felt he had a ‘mare againts West Brom, he didnt play play well againts Stoke. He made a couple of silly mistakes and i chould tell his head was done in by that a bit. Gaz is a proud person, he doesn’t want to let himself for united down. After those matchs, he must have known the end was coming, that he wasn’t good enough for another full season in the first time, so he took the decison out of manager’s hands and announced his retirement. In a way, he made it easier for the people around him. Typical gaz, that.

The Meaning of Prepositions

Preposition is part of the part of speech that is used to connect a noun , pronoun , or phrases to other words in a sentence . Pronouns are usually located in front of the noun or pronoun . The word or phrase that is modified by a preposition is called the Object of Preposition .

Usefulness of The Preposition

Preposition usability is to explain the location or position of the object or other.

Examples of The Prepositions

1.      A phrase like at the office is a prepositional phrase. It often functions as an adverbial.

We were very busy at the office.

On Tuesday things were back to normal.

            It can also come after a noun.

                        The panic at the office was soon over.

2.      Some prepositions can also come before an adverb.

Pengertian Article

A, an, the (articles) adalah kata yang digunakan untuk membatasi pengertian dari noun (kata benda). Article atau kata sandang, terbagi menjadi dua macam, yaitu: definite dan indefinite. Adapun zero article yang berarti tanpa kata sandang.

Ø Definite Article

• The merupakan kata sandang yang digunakan pada definite article.
• The digunakan pada hal yang spesifik (telah jelas ataupun telah diterangkan sebelumnya) meliputi: person (orang), thing (benda), maupun idea (pemikiran).

Contoh kalimat :

1.      The place that I just visited is so beautiful.

2.      My cat is sleeping in the garage.

Ø Indefinite Articles

• A atau an digunakan pada indefinite articles.
• Kata sandang ini digunakan pada hal yang tidak spesifik atau belum pernah diterangkan sebelumnya, meliputi: person (orang), thing (benda), maupun idea (pemikiran).

Contoh Kalimat :

1.      I bought a flower for my girlfriend

2.      He goes to the swimming pool twice a week

Ø Zero Article (Tanpa a, an, the)

• Zero article berarti tidak ada article (a, an, the) yang perlu untuk digunakan terhadap suatu noun (kata benda).
• Beberapa macam noun yang tidak  atau dapat tidak menggunakan article (tanpa a, an, the) antara lain adalah nama-nama bahasa, olahraga, academic subject, dll.

Contoh Kalimat :

1.      Can you speak Japanes?

2.      That children played football.

Pengertian Determiner

Determiner adalah kata atau kelompok kata yang ditempatkan di depan noun untuk membatasi makna noun tersebut. Di traditional grammar, determiner sering disebut limiting adjective, walaupun berbeda maknanya dengan adjective biasa. Jika sama-sama berada di dalam noun phrase, limiting adjective akan berada di depan adjective biasa. 
Contoh kalimat :

1. I have a new pencil.
2. Where is my notebook?
3. There bikes are absolutely beautiful.
4. Several years ago, I left my home alone.
5. Both of my friends are smart.
6. You are only permitted to ask few more questions.
7. There many people visit my uncle’s home.

Here’s Yogyakarta!

Two years ago, I went to Yogyakarta for my vacation with my grandma. The trip was started in 07.00 p.m. from Malang, and fortunately we come early, for about at 08.30 a.m. at Yogyakarta.

Many great places and destinations were there. We can see a famous temple, such as Prambanan temple. We can go shopping there, and many other wonderful destinations.

The first destination I had with my grandma is Prambanan temple. It was a great temple. My grandma and I were taking many pictures there. We can see the sun rose up behind the temple in the morning.

After we went to Prambanan temple, we went to Beringharjo market. My grandma bought many clothes for me, our family and also for herself, it called Batik. That’s really awesome! After we had enough to buy many clothes, we went to town square, called Alun-Alun with pedicab or usually called becak.

But firstly we went to Malioboro, the main street and the most famous place in Yogyakarta. Oh God, that was really crowded! We were almost can’t to move. There were many traditional restaurants, but usually called Angkringan, Lesehan, and so on.

We also went the Vredeburg bunker, many great things there. We can take a picture; we can buy a painting, buy many souvenirs and also buy many delicious street foods. Near the bunker, there is the Supersemar Monument. It was great! In front of the monument, there were many people. They were siting, talked about something and did the other work.

The last destination is Yogyakarta’s Kasultanan Palace. It was built on the wide land near the town square. The architecture was amazing. In front of Yogyakarta’s Kasultanan Palace, I bought many souvenirs. I bought that for my friends. My grandma bought an awesome Batik with the great motif.

Finally, my grandma and I go back home after we had a fantastic pleasure in Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta was very great place to have a vacation and a bit of relax. I really charmed when I went to the awesome destination in Yogyakarta.
